Great Divide Overland Route Part 1
I have split the Great Divide Overland Route into three sections. This GPX file is for Section 1 which traverses from the Mexico/New Mexico border in Antelope Wells to Loveland Ski Park, Colorado. Section 1 is approximately 1,510 miles in length and took me 12 days to drive and film.
This Overland Route is for the avid outdoor enthusiast and adventure seeker. You will see amazing sunsets, desert, forests, peaks, and passes. And you will have the opportunity to hunt and fish for your meals daily (if that’s the kinda thing you’re into).
All my camping, supply, and fishing locations are marked through waypoints so you can focus on the journey. Don’t forget to check the notes providing extra intel about the trip, and bring extra fuel for those long stretches off-road.
Disclaimer: At the time of mapping Section 1 (Late August through Early September 2023), all the roads are verified and open. Due to changing conditions some routes may be closed or impassable. Please be careful and plan your trip. Remain vigilant and adventurous, see you on the trail!
